About Me

Hi my name is Rachael and welcome to my blog. I'm currently a 21 year old college Junior. I'm an elementary education/special education major. I'm a summer away from Student Teaching and will complete college in spring of 2017. I decided to start blogging in 2013 to record my feelings on the books I read. I want to be able to look back in later life and see what my feelings were on a specific book. I'm a rather reserved person when you first meet me, but it often doesn't take long before I won't stop talking to you. I strive to be a very caring person and do the best that I can do in life.

I have been reading from the time I was very little. My first memory of really loving reading is in 2nd grade when I would read whenever I had a free moment. I enjoyed The Junie B. Jones series, Magic Tree House Series, Fudge Series, and the Little House on the Prairie books as a child. My biggest goal in life is teaching children to love reading. That is why I want to be an elementary teacher or a special education teacher.

Thanks for reading. I'm always open to book recommendations if you want to leave them below. I try not to be an in the box reader because I believe that a censored reader isn't experiencing the full range of how wonderful reading can be. I strive to review a variety of books on my blog.  I hope you enjoy your time here. Please leave a comment I always enjoying reading what other people think and I reply back to every comment.

Thanks for Stopping by.

Rachael

  1. Aw you seem so nice! My little sister goes to a special education school and all her teachers there are lovely.
I wish I could be a reader open to many genres - I'm just always reading Young Adult fiction.
Loving your blog by the way.

  3. Hello Rachel,

I just came across your blog while I was looking for a short summary for John Green's novel "Looking for Alaska".

I really liked your blog and I became very interested and happy about it.

What's really made me smile is that you read some books that I already read and enjoyed them. By the way I'm a learner of English and I read good amount of English novels in order to improve my English. In fact reading in English is something AMAZING and I'm awfully enjoy it.

I'll start reading "Looking For Alaska" right now, and I hope to comment again in your blog soon.

    Thank you,

    M.I.

    2. Hello again,

Thank you for your kind reply Rachael, this is really motivates me.

In fact English isn't complex language for me! I have a lot to say about learning English and other languages, too. It's one of my favorites topics beside "Reading" but it's a long interesting subject and sure I'm not going to talk about it here. What I found out is that "Reading" is the real fantastic way to get excellent English, and that's works in any language in the world.

There are huge numbers of fantastic books in English, and yet most English learners and even maybe native English speakers are unaware about this great treasure, so they lack the fluency.

Again, I'm glad that I discovered your blog. I like your easy, clear, direct English. Great writers and speakers almost use direct and powerful language.

      I'll come back soon.

      Have a nice evening.

      Thank you,

  4. Thanks for commenting on my review of "Leaving Time." Lovely to meet you. Great blog! I wish blogs had been around when I was your age as I would have started book blogging back then. :) (I do most of my book blogging at http://chicklitcentral.com.) Happy reading!
