Bloggiesta Finish Line

I had a very sucessful weekend during Bloggiesta.

  • First off I finished The Host by Stephenie Meyer. You can read my review here.
  • I made my review archive which you can click on the tab at the top or follow this link .
  • I put the features pages off until almost last, but in the end it wasn't that hard to make. You can click on the tab up top or follow this link.  I created both the feature and the review archive page in excel and copy and pasted it to my blog.
  • I only planned to draft next weeks TTT post, but I ended up drafting three weeks post so I'm very proud to complete that goal.
  • I didn't draft as many discussion posts as I hoped, but I did get two done and even created some pretty cool pictures in Photshop.
  • I found four Read-A-Thons to join and I archived my past read-a-thons in the top bar. You can click the tab up top or follow this link.
  • I didn't post that I participated in minichallenges so I will post it here because I did participate.
There is just a general idea of what my review excel spreadsheet looks like. It is not as fancy as the challenge's  host Lauren @ the ramblings of a book lover, but I think it will work for me.

I also added a search bar for Amanda @ On a Book Bender's challenge Through a Visitor's eyes.

I made a lot of improvements over this weekend and did a lot of things that I believe will make my blog more accessible to people who don't know where all my posts are. As I move forward I hope to continue to keep improve my blog as I learn more about being a blogger. I hope to continue to share my passion of books with everybody for years to come.

Bloggiesta Starting Line

So I wasn't planning on doing Bloggiesta, but after thinking about it for a bit there is so much more I would love to do with my blog that sadly I just haven't done so I decided to devote this weekend to A) Finish The Host by Stephenie Meyer and B) Bloggiesta. I feel like I have been nelegecting my blog with book reviews since The Host has been taking me so long to read. I have really enjoyed it.

Goals
  • Make Review Archive. I orginally thought that people could just look at my books read tab to see all my book reviews, but the problem with that is that there is no organization. It is just the books I have read in chronological order. Say somebody wanted to see all my reviews of Jodi Picoult books they would have to know when I read my last Jodi Picoult book and I really want them to just be able to go somewhere and find it.
  • Make Features Page. I do so many features and if I don't put the links somewhere they are just going to get lost in my blog so I want to make a features page that I update regularly. ( I made it in an excel document and copy and pasted it to the blog).
  • Draft TTT for next week. I have skipped the past two weeks because I didn't like the topics, but next weeks topic looks pretty cool. (What a relieve to have three weeks done these posts take a lot of time to put together).
  • Draft Discussion Post. I would like to do one about not following your TBR (To Be Read), Libraries VS Buying/Borrowing Books, BlogLovin, Favorite Posts to write, and any more that I come up with.
  • Find More Read-A-Thons to sign up for. If you have been around my blog for a while you would know I love Read-A-Thons and have done at least one every month this year.
  • Participate in Minichallenges. Some look really cool. We will see.

Okay well I think that is enough for me. I think it is a pretty hefty list so I will see what I complete.

Wish me Luck
