This Week in Books (12) May 12th, 2013

This week in books is going to be a feature I'm going to be doing on my blog. This week in books is in no way my original idea. It is a combination of Friday reads, its Monday what are you reading, weekly wraps up, and any thing else you can think of. The basic idea is I will be telling you what I read last week and what I would like to read this week which is always subject to change.

Read Last Week:

Rapunzel Untangled is a book I couldn't wait to read this year and Rapunzel Untangled by Cindy C. Bennett didn't disappoint. I'm sorry to disappoint, but my review will not be up for a while because this book I decided to do special event featuring Rapunzel novels and movies.  I'm tentatively thinking of October right now so I have the whole summer to read as many novels and watch as many movies as possible. There will be more information later.

Happy Birthday Bad Kitty by Nick Bruel (Review) was not a planned read for this week, but I was bored while babysitting so I picked it up and enjoyed it.

Currently Reading:
Firefly Lane by Kristen Hannah is an amazing novel. I have fell in love with the characters. I haven't read a book this serious in a while and this novel is a nice change.

I'm still working my way through Robin Hood by Howard Pyle. I have been reading a couple pages a day on my computer, but I just can't seem to focus. I'm hoping to finish it this week with the read-a-thon.

To Read:
Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstilkskin is my next read. This cover is beautiful and I can't wait to read this.

Thanks for reading and good luck with your reading for the week.

Rachael

    1. Firefly Lane is such a beautiful novel. I just can't seem to put it down. The stuff these characters are going through are such real struggles we go through in life. Rump's cuteness is one of the reasons I wanted to read it.

  2. Oh a Rapunzel feature, what an interesting idea! I'm going to be running a steampunk feature around the same time (any time between July and October). And I love the cover art on the Kristin Hannah book! :o

    1. I'm excited. I'm not sure when I'm going to run the feature. It for sure won't be in September, but if I can get it ready earlier I will try to feature it earlier. I think having the whole summer to read will give me a lot of retellings. I love Rapunzel. You should read Firefly Lane it is amazing. I love the characters in this book.
