This Week in Books (14) June 2nd, 2013

This week in books a feature I'm going to be doing on my blog. This week in books is in no way my original idea. It is a combination of Friday reads, its Monday what are you reading, weekly wraps up, and any thing else you can think of. The basic idea is I will be telling you what I read last week and what I would like to read this week which is always subject to change.

Read the Past Two Weeks:

I didn't do a This Week in Books last week because I was embrassed to had only read one book when I knew I could have read more. That book was That Summer by Sarah Dessen.

Then it came to this week May 26th through June 2nd. I was able to finish four books. The books were:
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen (Review)
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen (Review)
The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood by Howard Pyle
Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstilskin by Liesl Shurtliff (Review)

Just Listen and Rump were starting within this week. Rump and Robin Hood were both finished today June 2nd. I have my reviews up for all of them except Robin Hood as I'm covering the classic for Classics Retold in September. Come back in September for a full month of Robin Hood themed posts. All the books I read in September will be reviewed in October unless they are Robin Hood themed.

Currently Reading:
I haven't actually started Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, but I will be starting it probably tonight while I watch TV. I loved Cinder and I can't wait to fall in love with Scarlet. It is due back to the library by the 5th so I will have it done by that day.

To Read:
June is a no TBR month so I'm free to read whatever book I want. I'm afraid I have gone a little overboard in all the books I have checked out from the library.
I will either start Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion or Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult which I'm reading with one of my Goodreads friends.

  1. I didn't like Scarlet as much as I had hoped for but it was still enjoyable. Plain Truth was my favorite Picoult book.

Hope you enjoy all of your books, Rachael!

  2. Enjoy reading!! I haven't read Cinder yet but EVERYONE's been singing praises for it so I know I'll have to get to that soon. I wanted to watch the Warm Bodies movie but missed it because of exams (pfft)... Hope all the books will turn out great for you!
