Bout of Books 7.0 Read-A-Thon Wrap Up

Bout of Books
My goals for this read-a-thon was to finish Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah, and start Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin by Liesl Shurriff. I also wanted to read at least 50 pages per day and read at least an hour a day.

My goals changed on Tuesday when I forgot to bring Firefly Lane to school so I checked out City of Bones by Cassandra Clare and I just had to finish it before I started another book. This was the first time I tracked the time I read and I really liked the idea. I think it motivated me to read more often.

I finally beat out my page numbers from the Wicked Valentine Read-A-Thon back in February. I read a total of 777 pages and I read for a total time of 23 hours and 56 minutes. I finished about 1.84 pages per minute. On average I read 111 pages per day. I read on average 3 hours and 25 minutes per day. I read 255 pages in Firefly Lane, 485 pages in City of Bones, and 37 pages in Robin Hood. Saturday was a bit of a set back because I only read 3 minutes because I graduated from high school. Overall This week was very successful and I'm glad for what I accomplished during Bout of Books. If I could keep up this pace for the rest of the month I might be able to finish my TBR list.

  1. Great job! I love the idea of tracking how much time you read, definitely something I should look into to motivate myself more.
