I'm so sad the Fairy Tale Read-A-Thon is over. I had so much fun updating every day and just reading for this Read-A-Thon. I want to thank Deb @ Debz Bookshelf for hosting this amazing Read-A-Thon and I can't wait for Fairytale Fortnight to begin.
I participated in two mini challenges although one was just a comment on the hosting blog. The other one you can see here.

I read a total of 307 pages over the period of 8 days which is about 38 pages per day so it wasn't as good ad my Wicked Valentine Read-A-Thon, but I was super busy this week.
Books Finished
I finished Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie late last night so I could say I finished one book for this Read-A-Thon. I wrote my spoiler/no spoiler Book and Movie Review for this book. It is by far my best review and my most creative review. I'm excited to post it during fairytale fortnight hosted by the book rat and a story backwards. I very much enjoyed the orginal story of Peter Pan although a number of things surprised me.
Books Started
The Host by Stephenie Meyer is a monster of a book and I hard book to read when you are busy because it is very hard to wrap your mind around. I most likely would have waited to read this book if the movie wasn't coming out this month. I'm really enjoying it and I will get my review up as soon as I finish it. I'm actually jumping into to full on fairy tale retellings once I finish this book. If only this Read-A-Thon was at the end of the month.
Thanks for reading
Rachael
Congrats on finishing Peter Pan! I look foward to reading your review.
ReplyDeleteWatch out it is pretty amazing. I just started Peter Pan in Kessington Gardens and boy is it strange.
DeleteI read Peter Pan aloud to my kids a couple years ago, and we enjoyed it. I still haven't read Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, but I want to!
ReplyDeleteYou did great, Rachael! Congrats on finishing Peter Pan!
Here's my Wrap-up:

A few of the elements of Peter Pan are really too kid friendly, but I'm glad children don't pick everything up.
