Weekend Library Reading (1) Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult

Weekend Library reading is a feature started by reading in winter. Basically the whole idea is that you say what book you are going to be reading over the weekend that is from your local library so it is a bit like Friday Reads.

Book: Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult

Why I took out this book: I love Jodi Picoult and I really wanted to read another one of her books before her new book The Storyteller came out so my sister has read this book and she told me to read it so now I am.

What this book is about:

(summary from goodreads)

To the outside world, they seem to have it all. Cassie Barrett, a renowned anthropologist, and Alex Rivers, one of Hollywood's hottest actors, met on the set of a motion picture in Africa. They shared childhood tales, toasted the future, and declared their love in a fairy-tale wedding. But when they return to California, something alters the picture of their perfect marriage. A frightening pattern is taking shape—a cycle of hurt, denial, and promises, thinly veiled by glamour. Torn between fear and something that resembles love, Cassie wrestles with questions she never dreamed she would face: How can she leave? Then again, how can she stay?

So far I'm 149 pages in and I have  to say it isn't the greatest Jodi Picoult book I have read,  but I am enjoying it. I'm going to try to do this feature every Friday granted that I'm reading a new book.

Thanks for reading

  1. I've only read one Jodi Picoult book and really liked it -- I really should try some of her other books! I hope you like this one. :)

    1. Which one have you read? I simply love Jodi Picoult and I have been cruising through her novels. I'm almost finished with this one and I really like it.
