This Week in Books (8) April 13th, 2013

This week in books is going to be a new feature I'm going to be doing on my blog. This week in books is in no way my original idea. It is a combination of Friday reads, its Monday what are you reading, weekly wraps up, and any thing else you can think of. The basic idea is I will be telling you what I read last week and what I would like to read this week which is always subject to change.

Read Last Week
I enjoyed both of these book immensely. I say so in my reviews. We had three days off from school this week because of a spring ice storm here in the Midwest so I had a lot of spare time to read.

Currently Reading

I'm currently about 120 pages in to Splintered by A.G. Howard and I have to say I'm not enjoying Splintered as much as I hoped to so far I'm finding this novel to be very dull and boring. The description writing is really slowing the novel down. I will most likely finish the novel, but at this point I can't see a positive review coming of it. I'm listening to 311 Pelican Court by Debbie Macomber on my computer when  I have a spare moment. This is the third book in the cedar cove series and although it isn't as good as the previous novel. I'm still enjoying it immensely. I'm on chapter 14 currently. To Read

Tiger Lily is the next book I plan to read. Tiger Lily is a retelling of Peter Pan narrated by Tinker Bell about Tiger Lily. I really hope that I like this novel.

  1. Hope you enjoy Tiger Lily, Rachael! I wasn't too fond of it but everyone else seemed to love it.

    1. I hope it is better than Splintered which isn't much to live up to at this point.

  2. Did you finish splintered already? The author is coming to Texas! I don't know how far away you are though. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to go to any of her events. I still haven't read the book but I want to

    1. Right, I should have read your post before commenting, I got a little carried away. So you're not liking it, I had high hopes for it. I don't even know if I've read reviews about it

    2. I get a little carried away also. I had high hopes for Splintered, but it didn't live up to my expectations. You will see that in my review that should be up sometime this weekend.
